Photo Details

View of the Cuillin Ridge, taken from near the summit of Sgurr na Banachdich in the heart of the Cuillin Ridge on Skye. Peaks from right to left are: Sgurr Dearg (& Inaccessible Pinnacle), Sgurr Alasdair, Sgurr Thearlaich, Sgurr Mhic Choinnich and Sgurr Dubh an Da Bheinn. The main ridge runs across the foreground of the photograph as Sgurr Dearg and Sgurr Alasdair are actually on opposite sides of Coire Lagan.

Sgurr na Banachdich is one of the more easily achievable of the Cuillin although on reaching the summit, the narrow ridge extends in both directions. As well as good views of the other peaks on the ridge, this is also a good vantage point to look south east towards Loch Coruisk. A good description of the ascent can be found at sykewalk.co.uk.
