Mountain Information

Scotland-Landscapes love the mountains and outdoors and are always interested in current conditions, webcam images, forecasts and pretty much anything else providing information about whats going on or about to happen outdoors and in the hills. Here under our Mountain Information section we draw together a collection of webcam and mapping resources that give information we find useful, and hopefully you will too.

Our map of Scottish Mountain Webcams is, we believe, the most comprehensive resource for outdoor and mountain condition related webcams that we know of, and with the added avantage of a map interface where most other Scottish webcam resources rely on mere lists!

We now have our interactive Munros & Munro Tops map up and running with furrther developments and enhancements to come! Munros are Scotlands highest mountains consisting of some 284 Munro Summits and 227 subsidiary Tops over 3000ft (914.4 metres) in height (recently The Munro Society have been surveying some of the summits around 3000ft to check the validity of their Munro status and several have been measured below 3000ft potentially reducing the number of Munros below 284).
