Photo Description
The sun setting beyond Loch Assynt and Quinag after a warm, hazy April day. Taken on the descent from Conival via Beinn an Fhurain whose shattered quartzite summit provides a rough high level extension or alternative to an excursion on Conival and Ben More Assynt. I was descending from Conival after an early evening ascent of the hills south ridge, a grade 2 rated. The ridge provides an excellent alternative to the standard plod on the north west side of the mountain. There are more photos and a description of the day here (towards the end of the article).
