Dawn in the north very early on a July morning with Loch Einich in the foreground, and a watery Glen Einich stretching away. Meall a’ Bhuachaille, above Loch Morlich, is the distant hill on the centre right. The photo was taken from the door of the tent when camping right on the lip of Coire Odhar on the eastern slopes of Carn Ban Mor. After a bit more sleep I had an excellent tramp across Braeriach and Cairn Toul before descending north to Lochan Uaine and a return via the north east ridge of Sgor an Lochain Uaine (Angel’s Peak), an atmospheric grade 2 scramble.
