A wide angle view over the Loch Avon basin to the stunning vista of Beinn Mheadhoin, Loch Etchachan, Carn Etchachan, Shelter Stone Crag and Ben Macdui from Stac an Fharaidh on the southern slopes of Cairngorm itself. Taken in the middle of May 2012 following late spring snowfalls that allowed the Cairngorm ski centre to open following very mild conditions earlier in the spring and late winter.
