A winter view south across Sinclair Bay north of Wick with Keiss Castle silhouetted in the foreground. A strong swell in the North Sea was driving in large waves and several surfers were making the most of the conditions. Keiss Castle is a well known landmark on the Caithness coast sitting right on the edge of the cliffs. It dates from the 16th or 17th centuries. More information is available at Caithness.org.
