A still and frosty late autumn morning on the sheltered shores of the Kyle of Sutherland provided this view of the impressive rail bridge at Invershin just below Carbisdale Castle (now a YHA Youth Hostel). A short way along the bank of the kyle I was also lucky enough to come across the beautiful autumnal colours of Autumn Reflections. Further on, on the exposed moors between Lairg and Altnaharra the weather was anything but still with heavy snow showers blowing in from the west leaving the roads and hills white.
