Photos from Northern Sutherland in the far north west of the British Mainland. A beautiful area of rugged mountains, lochs and stunning beaches, populated by small crofting communities. The mountains of the very far north may not be as spectacular as those of Assynt and Torridon but the wide open landscapes, the real remote wilderness of the hills, and the beautiful beaches and coastline make this a very special area.
