Farr Bay is a stunning spot nestled below the village of Bettyhill roughly midway along Scotland’s north coast. The sides of the bay are rough and rocky and waves sweep along them before crashing on to the lovely sandy beach. This photo was taken in early April with the mountains of northern Sutherland dusted with fresh snow and a chill breeze whipping in from the sea. Still, all wrapped up we enjoyed a walk, picnic and some sand castle building on the beach as a family, a bit chilly for a dip though.
