Sgurr nan Gillean at dawn with the moon high over the Cuillin ridge. This photo was taken around 6am after a night of heavy rain and strong winds whipped through the Sligachan campsite where we were staying the night. It was tempting not to set the alarm the night before but when it went off at 5:15am, we were glad we had. The cloud was just disappearing from the summits and the wind had dropped. Our goal for the day was Knight’s Peak on the Pinnacle Ridge of Sgurr nan Gillean.
